Converting the M60A3 into a Talbot CZ-10/25E armoured combat engineer vehicle |
Lead | ||
|
Most of us could use more armoured combat engineer vehicles. The Spanish Army use the Talbot CZ-10/25E armoured combat engineer vehicle, which is an M-60 with
a mechanical digger arm in place of the 105mm gun. I have disassembled an M60A3 turret and I reckon the holes for mounting the 105mm gun are about the right
size to take the mounting lugs of a mechanical digger arm of a micro machine excavator. As soon as I get a Micro machine excavator I am going to give it a go.

Should be easy once you find the arm. Thing is how you make the arm work up and down

If the mounting lugs fit...which they should do the arm work up and down. I just need a spare digger arm.

You want me to send you one of the excavators I got? The boom looks like a better fit but don't know if it could move.

How many do you want? I can send them Tuesday. Interested in any of those front loaders either?

Hi
Initially I am just after the one digger arm to see if I can get the conversion to work. If it does work I would be after another five digger arms. Yes I am still interested in the camo front loaders.

Think I'll try the same thing but to a 88 instead. Would take the a-frame off and try to mount something on the left side front

Interesting. You will end up with something like a Dachs

I had a Green M-60 from the 96 FF w/o the barrel, so that was the easy part. Next, do any of you remember those Lava sets that were out! one of the sets had
some type of round cap on the end of the arm.
Well this is what I try to use. First thing you must do is file away into the turret, maybe a 1/16, because qwhen you try you have to get back to where the old barrel sat in. After that your done, except for some type of blade in front |
